Safe passage to ULFA cadres to attend festival

Assam Govt has offered safe passage to ULFA cadres from Jan 7 to 21 to visit their families during the Magh Bihu festival.

Assam government on Sunday offered safe passage to ULFA cadres from January seven to 21 to visit their families during the Assam 'Magh Bihu' festival.

Talking to reporters here, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said ULFA insurgents would be allowed to visit their near and dear ones during the 'Magh Bihu' festival and also for the New Year.

"They will only have to inform us and then visit their families. They will have to come unarmed and we will not arrest them", Gogoi assured.

"We will let them go back also", the Chief Minister said.
