Saif Ali Khan's home production, to be directed by Imtiaz Ali, will topline Deepika Padukone as the heroine. What no Kareena Kapoor? Well, anyway, hum, uh, who knows?
It seems Saif met up with Deepika a few days ago and discussed doing a movie with the director of Jab We Met.
He briefed her about the story concept that Imtiaz wants to develop. She has verbally agreed to do the film for Saif 's Illuminati Films.
There was talk that he had tied up with his Being Cyrus director, Homi Adajania, but there has been no news on that front for six months now.
Come December and Deepika will start shooting for Yash Raj Films' production being directed by Siddharth Raj Anand.
Her hero in the movie, Ranbir Kapoor, has already begun filming with Bipasha Basu.

She has also been teamed with Akshay Kumar in Chandni Chowkto China being directed by Nikhil Advani.
Saif 's production will start next year.. and by then Deepika will have finished shooting for Nikhil's project.
Unless of course, she signs up for Salman Khan's home production Main aur Mrs Khanna. Khan is keen on casting her, instead of Lara Dutta, whom he had signed up following the hit status of Partner.
