Salem remanded to jail custody till December 7
The TADA court ordered that he may be kept in Central prison at Arthur Road after taking due security precautions.
Extradited gangster Abu Salem was on Wednesday remanded to judicial custody in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast case till December 7 after CBI told the special TADA court that it do not need his custody for the time being.

This is for the first time he has been remanded to judicial custody.
Meanwhile, Mumbai police has sought production warrant for Salem in Pradeep Jain murder case. As per the warrant, he would be produced before TADA Judge Bavkar today itself.
Earlier, CBI prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said that Salem's custody was not rpt not needed for the time being as he has made a confession.
However, the investigating agency would seek permission of the court whenever it needs his custody, he added.
