Give us a brief overview of REIL's operations.
REIL has completed 28 years in service of the nation, especially rural India, in the areas of electronics, renewable energy, information technology and industrial electronics. The products address needs of the dairy sector, rural lighting through renewable energy and e-governance applications. Its products are deployed in more than 75,000 villages.

How has REIL profitably diversified its business?
In 1985, the company diversified in the field of solar photovoltaic (SPV) modules and systems and introduced lamination facility for the first time in the country to manufacture SPV modules. The company is manufacturing domestic lighting systems, street lighting systems, SPV-powered adult education systems, water pumping systems, SPV-based battery charger packs, SPV power packs for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, etc. Recently, the company executed a major diversification in the information technology sector to deliver software solutions for business automation and e-governance including enterprise resource planning solutions for dairy and small and medium enterprises segment, internet applications, computer education & training and hand-held computer applications.
