Salwan Marathon on November 6

The Salwan Marathon for schoolchildren will be held on November 6 at the Army Equestrian Centre, Brar Square. The marathon, held in partnership with the Hindustan Times, will see a huge participation from schoolchildren from India as well as abroad.

With a view to reaching out to all communities, the organisers have roped in organizations like 'Special Olympics Bharat' and 'Butterflies' to get intellectually challenged and street kids to participate in the run. UNICEF, too, has been roped in.

The organisers have increased the distance by half a kilometer for the run in U-14 and U-16 categories. Besides, the race for the visually impaired, students will see participation from 1700 students from across the country.
