India's Sania Mirza, partnering Liezel Huber of South Africa, on Thursday moved into the semi-finals of the doubles event at the Bangalore Open.

The second-seeded pair defeated Silvija Talaja of Croatia and Martina Muller of Germany 7-6, 2-6, 6-4 in the second round.

The duo had defeated Obziler Tzipora of Israel and Widjaja Angelique of Thailand in the first round.

Sania, who was the top seed in the singles draw, on Wednesday suffered a shock second-round defeat at the hands of Camille Pin of France, losing 6-1, 5-7, 2-6.
