Second seeds Sania Mirza of India and Liezel Huber of South Africa beat fourth seeded Russian pair Anastassia Rodionova and Elena Vesnina to win the doubles in the $175,000 Bangalore Open tennis tournament on Sunday.

The 114th ranked India-South African pair prevailed 6-3, 6-3 over the 189th Russian pair in a noisy finals encounter.

Earlier, third seed Mara Santangelo of Italy defeated sixth seed Jelena Kostanic of Croatia 3-6, 7-6, 6-3 in the women's singles finals to take the championship.
