India on Thursday named senior diplomat Sanjay Singh as its next Ambassador to Iran.
Singh, currently Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, is in-charge of Gulf Division in the ministry.

He will succeed Manbir Singh.
Government also posted VP Haran, Joint Secretary in the MEA, as the next Ambassador to Syria.
