SANJEEV KUMAR Singh took charge as Inspector-General of Police (IG) Bhopal Range on Thursday. Singh has served as Superintendent of Police Bhopal and DIG Bhopal range in the past.
After assuming charge, Singh said he would ensure better facilities for policemen and at police stations. Regarding shortage of police personnel particularly in the Bhopal district, he said technology, communication advancements and outsourcing were some of the ways that would be used to overcome such deficiencies.
He said police was grappling with an extreme shortage of drivers for the vehicles and efforts would be undertaken to redress such practical problems that affect policing.
