Antakshari contest for students and teachers was the highlight of the annual function of the Government Benazir Science and Commerce College. In the students’ category, the first spot was taken by the team of Sarojini Naidu Girls College including, Bhumika Birthare and Vishakha Deshpande.
Dipti Mandloi and Riya Dutta of MLB College bagged the second spot while Arpita Saxena and Neha Shrivastava of Career College were placed third. In teachers' category, the team of Dr Geetanjali Pagare and Dr Piyush Bhatnagar of MLB College bagged first prize, Dr Ranjana Sharma and Dr Indu Chaturvedi of Hamidia College bagged second spot and Dr Sanjay Sahay and Dr S K Jha of Benazir College won the third place.
At the outset, homage was paid to Ustaad Bismillah Khan, Naushad and Hrishikesh Mukherjee. In fancy dress contest, the top three spots were won by Shyamvati Patel, Suman Singh and Imran Qureshi while the winner of bridal contest was Deepa Shrivastava. In the group song – Vikas Rana and group bagged first prize, in drama Suman Singh and group bagged the top spot while Nitin Sharma and group bagged second spot.
