ANIRUDH JAIN of Shri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar won the ‘best district archer’ award with maximum points in the district-level interschool archery competition held under the aegis of the Education Department at St Umar Higher Secondary School. The competition was held in the under-14, U-17 and U-19 categories.
Anirudh excelled in the under-17 category, while Azim Khan of St Umar won the second position. Asif Siddique and Kshitij Kolkute both from Karnataka Vidya Niketan won the third position. In the under-14 category, Danish Rehman of St Umar won the first position followed by Asif Malik and Arif Malik of the same school.
In the under-19 category, St Umar students put up an excellent performance and won the top three positions. Imran Patel and Amjad Khan won the first and second positions while Mohammed Jahangeer Khan and Vipin Marothiya won the third position.
In the girls’ under-14, St Umar girls Shaban Hussain and Shiba Khan won the first and second positions while Arifa Khan and Nazneen Khan bagged third prize. In the under-17 category, the host school students did well once again.

In the under-19 category, Afreen Khan of St Umar bagged the first position followed by Shivi Kharia from Choithram School and Akshita Khude from Karnataka Vidya Niketan. School principal Naseem Qaiyyum and sports officer Sayeed Alam have congratulated their students for their brilliant performance.
