Satyam Computer Services Ltd, India's fourth-largest software exporter, reported a quarterly net profit of 89 per cent on Friday, exceeding analysts forecasts.

New York-listed Satyam, which specialises in business software, said that net profit for April-June climbed to Rs 3.6 billion ($77 million) for the fiscal first-quarter that ended in June, from 1.9 billion rupees in 2005.
