SBI employees threaten strike from April 3

STATE BANK of India (SBI) staff would go on indefinite strike from April 3 over the pending pension cases on the call of the All-India State Bank of India Staff Federation and State Bank Officers Federation.

STATE BANK of India (SBI) staff would go on indefinite strike from April 3 over the pending pension cases on the call of the All-India State Bank of India Staff Federation and State Bank Officers Federation.

According to a press release, bank employees and officers across all branches in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh today staged demonstrations against the bank administration over pending pension cases and several other issues.

Bank Officers Association general secretary Ravi Bilgaiya and Workmen Union’s general secretary Pramod Naramdeo said the apathetic attitude of the bank and Government towards the pending pension cases of the past 12 years was highly disappointing.

They said that if these issues related to pension were not addressed before April 3, the employees would go on indefinite strike.

In order to launch a formal agitation, a delegation of the bank employees would present a memorandum to the administration heads of the bank and also to the Prime Minister, Finance Minister and Governor of Reserve Bank of India to apprise them of
