SC grants bail to Alistair Pereira

While granting him bail, the SC Bench admits the special leave petition filed by Pereira against his conviction.

The Supreme Court on Monday granted bail to Alistair Pereira, sentenced to three years imprisonment for mowing down seven persons in Mumbai.

While granting him bail, a Bench of Justices A K Mathur and Markandey Katju admitted the special leave petition filed by Pereira against his conviction by the Bombay High Court.

The High Court had sentenced him to three years imprisonment.
