The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a petition challenging Maharashtra government's decision to permit construction of a multi-storey housing complex near a heritage building at suburban Bandra, which is the residence of film actor Shah Rukh Khan.

The order came from a bench of Chief Justice YK Sabharwal and Justice CK Thakker, who did not find any fault with the Bombay High Court order.
The High Court had earlier dismissed the petition filed by Cyril Thomas Mecwan, who had alleged that Khan got the plan approved from the government by using his influence.
