The Supreme Court will on Friday hear former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa's bail plea. She is presently in a Bangalore jail after her conviction in a disproportionate assets case.

The former chief minister was awarded four-year prison term and a fine of Rs.100 crore.
The apex court chief justice HL Dattu said that the matter would be heard on Friday as senior counsel Fali S Nariman mentioned her matter for an early hearing.
Jayalalithaa had moved to the Supreme Court last Thursday seeking the bail.
