A manager of a private school in Lucknow was shot dead by unidentified assailants in broad daylight on Thursday at Aashiyana locality.

Motorcycle-borne youth opened fire on CP Singh, manger of Lucknow Public School, as he got down from his vehicle outside the school premises, police said.

Singh was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead, they said.

The motive behind the killing is yet to be ascertained.

Police have launched a manhunt for the assailants.
