Police said the bus driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve, following which it turned turtle and fell into the ditch on the roadside.

The school children were proceeding to Moodabidre to write the SSLC examinations, which began on Monday throughout the state.

The injured have been hospitalised, police said.
