Schools closed after tension in Srinagar

Educational institutions in Ganderbal district of J&K will remain closed following tension raised after the transfer of forest land to SASB.

All educational institutions in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed on Wednesday following tension in the wake of protests against transfer of forest land to Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB)

"All the educational institutions in Ganderbal district will remain closed as a precautionary measure," Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Abdul Majid Khanday said.

Additional police personnel have been deployed in the town to maintain law and order.
