Schools not using MP fund to be derecognised

DISTRICT MAGISTRATE Amrit Abhijat has threatened to issue recovery certificates (RCs) against those schools who had received the first installment of grant under MP Fund but did not ask for the second installment within a year of release of the first installment.

He said if any discrepancies were found with funds, recognition of the concerned school would be cancelled.

The DM issued the warning while reviewing the progress of various development projects under the MP fund. He was assisted by the concerned officials and representatives of area MPs, at his camp office on Thursday.

The DM directed the organisations undertaking the projects under MP fund to finish all incomplete work of the year 2001-02 to 2004-05 in a time-bound manner. He also directed the officials to submit within a week project estimates by their department of the works of the year 2006-07 .

The DM also directed the DRDA to send the proposals related to MP fund projects, the money for which had to come from the Government, at the earliest.
