SDM Hawa Singh and other officials on Tuesday night conducted a raid at a milk plant at Sirsa and found sacks of powdered milk worth `21 lakh without any record.
During the raid that ended at 3am on Wednesday, the milk plant was completely sealed. During the investigation it came to fore that the milk plant has already sold 200 sacks of powdered milk illegally, about which the plant officials had no record.
One Shravan Singh Chadiwala had complained to the board of the milk plant that there is no record regarding the sale of 400-500 sacks of powdered milk. Following the complaint, Dilbag Singh, chairperson of milk plant; Abhir Singh, director of plant, and officials Dalbir Singh, Puran Chand, Dilip Thakana and Ranbir Singh visited the plant and during investigating they found sacks of powdered milk in a room near the production plant. Labourers were preparing milk from powder for sending it to the Ballabhgarh milk plant. As they saw the board members they started moping milk from the floor.
The chairperson and director of the milk plant contacted the deputy commissioner. On Tuesday night, the DC appointed the SDM as the investigating officer and sent him with DSP Dharamveer Singh to conduct a raid in the milk plant.
The SDM seized the record of the milk plant and found that 510 sacks of powdered milk had no record. Of these sacks, powder from some bags was already converted to milk by the labourers. The remaining 311 sacks are in custody of the SDM.

{{/usCountry}}The SDM also recoded the statement of the labourers in the milk plant, who said they have delivered 200 bags in the room in the noon. He also recorded the statement of the plant's CEO and other officials.
SDM Hawa Singh said, "During the preliminary investigation we found 311 sacks of powdered milk were not mentioned in the record book. The investigation is on. Soon, the culprits will be in the police custody."
