A section of members of Advocates Association of Bangalore on Tuesday boycotted proceedings of the bench headed by Karnataka High Court Chief Justice Vikramajit Sen protesting his "failure" to initiate action against those involved in the March 2 violence in city civil court complex.
Though AAB had passed a resolution last week calling for the boycott, only a section of its members stayed away from proceedings, association sources said.
A number of advocates of the association had opposed the boycott call bringing to the fore differences within the body.
The AAB is seeking transfer of Registrar-General and Registrar (Vigilance) of Karnataka High Court alleging that they could not check the "administrative failure."
The High Court on May 16 ordered formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by former CBI Director R K Raghavan to probe the violence and sbumit its report in three months.
The court also ordered the SIT to investigate the alleged 'false' reporting by the electronic media and ordered issue of notice to the Centre to frame regulations for electronic channels to report such incidents.
