Terrorism, strengthening of intelligence network, coastal security and security of key establishments, including atomic installations, will be discussed at the conference of chief ministers to be chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here on Tuesday. Home Minister P. Chidambaram will brief the chief ministers on the new measures to fight terror, including a detailed presentation on the National Investigation Agency. The Home Minister is also likely to make a statement reassuring the chief ministers that none of the new legislations will erode the powers that the states currently enjoy.

Modi to lead BJP attack
The NDA chief ministers however have decided to take on the Centre at the conference tomorrow. Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will lead the attack for not allowing the Gujarat and Rajasthan governments to arm their police with a strong anti-terror law.
