Security has been stepped up at all railway stations in Uttar Pradesh after a caller from Saudi Arabia claimed that four terrorists are on a mission to blow up trains and stations in Delhi, Gujarat and Mumbai.
The warning conveyed by Mumbai Police to Railway divisional headquarter in Moradabad last week said that one Zameer Akhtar, resident of Jeddah, had alleged that terrorists at a meeting in Mecca have decided to blow up several railway stations.
The terrorists, including three Pakistanis and one from Azamgarh UP, have started their journey for India on January 21 from Saudi Arabia, railway and police officials said on Tuesday.
In the wake of the possible threat, Railway Board has put on high alert the divisional rail establishment at Moradabad, which manages scores of Railway stations under UP and Uttrakhand, Divisional Railways Security Commissioner, Vivek Sagar, said
Board authorities have asked police chiefs of Rampur, Moradabad, Haridwar and Dehradun to exercise maximum alert in their respective areas.
Sagar said the entire division has been put on high alert and RPF and GRP jawans have been deployed at many stations.

{{/usCountry}}Rampur Superintendent of Police Veer Bahadur Singh said anti-sabotage and quick response teams have been organized and deployed to face any eventuality in the sensitive Rampur district.
Bomb detection squad have started checking trains, railway parcels, passengers and even rickshaws halting at the Rampur station.
Singh said a chunk of Pakistani nationals overstaying in Rampur are being monitored.
