Security stepped up for Id

AFTER DIWALI, the district administration has geared up to ensure peaceful celebration of Id. The administration has made elaborate security arrangements at sensitive and overcrowded areas of the city from Tuesday.

AFTER DIWALI, the district administration has geared up to ensure peaceful celebration of Id.

The administration has made elaborate security arrangements at sensitive and overcrowded areas of the city from Tuesday.

It is also making special security arrangement around the major mosques where lakhs of Muslims community will turn turn up to offer prayers.

The administration has divided the city into several sectors to be patrolled by a DSP, a magistrate and heavy security forces.

SSP Ashutosh Pandey visited several sensitive areas of the city on Monday and took stock of security arrangements. He gave necessary instructions to his sub-ordinates to keep round-the-clock vigil upon security and safety of the citizens.

The traffic will remain restricted on route of major mosques on the day of Id when a large number of people will offer prayers.

During the prayers in Vidyapeeth mosque, the vehicular traffic from Englishialine to Sajan crossing will be restricted. Besides, the vehicular traffic near mosques in Saraiyah, Nadesar, Nai Sarak and Khojwa area will be also restricted.

Meanwhile, people are all set prepared to celebrate Id. All the major markets were overcrowded on Tuesday. Thousands of people flocked to the market to buy sewain, new clothes and various other items.
