Seer case: Remand of accused extended

A local court on Wednesday extended the judical remand of the accused in the Sankararaman murder case till March 31.

A local court on Wednesday extended the judical remand of the accused in the Sankararaman murder case till March 31.

Extending the remand, Judicial Magistrate-I G Uthamaraja directed all the accused, including those on bail, to be present in the court on that day.

Copies of the chargesheet in the case could not be served even on Wednesday.

Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati and junior seer Vijayendra Saraswati came to the court from Kalavai and Chennai respectively. Other accused in the case also attended the proceedings.
