"For more than a decade, residents are demanding free holding of Ambala Sadar properties but the state government is not taking a decision though I have raised the demand with the chief minister in the presence of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during a public meeting here," Selja told the media here after inaugurating a blood donation camp organised by the North India Regional Council of Chartered Accountants and Lions Club, Ambala.
She claimed that the demand was being raised continuously and listed in the election manifesto as well. "A solid waste management plant and several other projects have not been made operational," she said.
Referring to victory of Congress-supported candidates in three municipal corporations of Ambala, Panchkula and Yamunanagar, she said people had faith in polices and programmes of the Congress, adding that now the responsibility was on councillors to perform.
