"Sena leaders often say that MNS has an understanding with the ruling Congress party in the state. Infact, it is the other way round. Shiv Sena has an "understanding" with Congress at some places," Raj said.

Raj recalled the incident when the Democratic Front (DF) Government had withdrawn his police protection, after a youth, who reportedly wanted to eliminate him, was killed in encounter.

Addressing an election rally in Thane last night, he lashed out at the Shiv Sena-BJP combine saying they have failed as opposition.

Raj said if voted to power he would ensure that industries come to the state and a major chunk of jobs is reserved for the local youths.

The MNS chief also said that he would never give up the cause of 'Marathi manoos'.

"So far, there are 88 cases lodged against me and even if it crosses a 100-mark, I will not not give up the issue," he added.
