State Energy Minister Sunil Tatkare said this after the Shiv sainiks vandalised eight offices of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution across Thane, to protest power cuts and exorbitant bills.

“The load-shedding situation hasn’t changed since six months. Shiv Sena’s agitation was just a political stunt. We suffered losses worth Rs 22.9 lakh and have filed a complaint with the Thane police,” said Tatkare.
