The benchmark Sensex recovered over 50 points in early trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday, on revival of buying by funds.

The 30-share sensitive index, which had lost 88 points in the previous day trading bounced back by 53.26 points at 12,419.65 points in first five minutes of trade.

The wide-based National Stock Exchange, Nifty, also traded higher by 10.45 points at 3,580.05.
The major support came in from heavy-weights such as Bajaj Auto, Reliance Energy, Larsen, Grasim and Infosys.
