Sensex up 46 points, closes at 10,923

Sensex on Thursday briefly crossed the 11,000 points mark to touch 11,081.90 but closed at 10,923.16.

The BSE benchmark Sensex on Thursday briefly crossed the 11,000 points mark to touch 11,081.90 but closed at 10,923.16, still 47 points on the higher side, on alternate bouts of buying and selling by funds and retail investors.

Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index, Nifty, gained 7.90 points to 3190.00 after touching a high of 3234.25 and a low of 3175.15 points.
