India's first Formula One racing driver Narain Karthikeyan admitted he was bored, but also satisfied, after completing the distance and finishing 11th in Sunday's sweltering Malaysian Grand Prix.

Karthikeyan, 28, in only his second Grand Prix, followed up his 11th place finish at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne two weeks earlier by ensuring his car and its driver survived a tough test of stamina.
"It may not look spectacular, but as I said before, at this time, it is more important for me to finish races and gain experience than anything else," he said.
"So, finishing in 11th position here at Sepang, where it is so hot and such a tough test for the car, the engine and the tyres, it is very good. The weather is so hard. The conditions are really tough.
"I must say that the car was very reliable and that was fine, but the race was actually a bit boring for me."
He finished one place ahead of his team-mate Portuguese Tiago Monteiro, a result that showed his personal competitiveness against a driver in the same machinery.
"Don't forget we are still getting used to everything, we are rookies and there is a lot to think about and work on," said Karthikeyan.
"I am sure this is a good start if you take a realistic point of view."
