"We urge the Jammu and Kashmir government to constitute its own Lokayukta to put a check on uncontrolled corruption," AJKPC president Anil Sharma told reporters here.

"We offer gratitude to the members of parliament and anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare for bringing this anti-graft law which was pending for the past more than four decades," said AJKPC leader.

"Lokpal at the Centre and Lokayuktas at the state-level would help contain corruption," he added.

AJKPC also congratulated UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

"We support and appreciate the demand of Rahul Gandhi for extending the session of the House for clearing the Whistleblowers' Protection Bill, Judicial Accountability Bill, Public Procurement Bill and the Citizen's Right to Services Bill," he said.
