Seven killed in separate accidents

Six persons, who were returning from a marriage, were killed when the car in which they were travelling in hit a stationary truck at Bulandshahr on Tuesday night.

Six persons, who were returning from a marriage, were killed when the car in which they were travelling in hit a stationary truck at Bulandshahr on Tuesday night.

All the victims belonged to Durai village in Greater Noida. They had gone for the wedding of one BB Choudhary at Bulandshahar.

The impact of the accident was such that all the occupants of the car died on the spot.

"Although they were taken to a nearby hospital, they were declared brought dead," said a police official. The rescuers had a tough time in retrieving the bodies. The deceased were identified as Nitin Kumar, Gaurav Singh, Maninder Kumar, Satinder Kumar and Arun Kumar.

“Stationary trucks are causing most of accidents on highways. All the six men killed were in the 20-25 age group,” said Amit Kumar, SHO, Badalpur.

In another accident, a Bulandshahr resident, Ghajan Singh, was killed in near Dankore in Greater Noida after his bike rammed into a tractor.
