Simone, who is not still legally separated from the world’s great spin bowler, said that the move was an opportunity for her to begin her life as an independent person. She said she was looking forward to working with the website team in providing consumers with everything they need for home projects.

“My interest in home improvement started from spending so much time at home. I wanted to make our home as comfortable as possible for the kids. It is important for me to move forward as an independent person and this partnership with homesite.com.au is a great opportunity for me to fulfil my love for home design and renovation. It also allows me to work from home and look after my children,” the website quoted her as saying.

The new website said that the partnership with Simone came as a result of her talking about her passion for home renovation and her plans to make a career out of home design. It claimed to be connecting the Aussie consumers with the right people, products, and solutions to make their new home and renovation aspirations a reality.

Simone’s joining the website assumes significance in the wake of growing interest among the Australians towards renovating their homes. Quoting the Housing Industry Association figures, the website said that Australians spent a record 23.6 billion dollars on home renovation last year.
