In a press note issued here on Saturday, SFI, campus president, Puneet Dhanta said if HP University vice-chancellor ADN Bajpai failed to revoke the decision, they would be forced to intensify the protest.

He accused the vice-chancellor and Himachal Pradesh University of pushing the university towards commercialisation and privatisation. “With the declaration of results, the university has hiked the re-evaluation charges to Rs 120 per subject, which was Rs 85,” he said.

The re-evaluation form that was sold at Rs 5 a year ago was increased to Rs 10 last year, he said.

“This approach of the university would not be tolerated by SFI, which would be forced to mobilise the students to oppose the ongoing decisions of the university authorities,” he said.
