Shah Rukh Khan, the undisputed star of 2004 once again managed to outshine his contemporaries, albeit, with a gamut of roles this time, as opposed to the typical candy-floss stuff that he has churned out in the past.
Starring in three fairly diveres films, Farah Khans' Main Hoon Na, Yash Chopra's Veer-Zaara and Ashuthos Gowariker's Swades, he managed to strike gold with each of them. They all brought out a different facet of his persona, even if limited to Bollywood's mainstream range. Creditably, his Mohan Bhargav was a diametrically opposite character to the erstwhile Rajs and Rahuls that he is usually associated with.
