Shaharyar Khan resigns as PCB chairman

Dr Naseem Ashraf, a government adviser and member of the board's ad-hoc committee, is expected to take over.

Shaharyar Khan has resigned as chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), a senior official said on Friday.

Director of cricket operations Saleem Altaf said the government had accepted Shaharyar's resignation.

Dr Naseem Ashraf, a government adviser and member of the board's ad-hoc committee, is expected to take over as chairman, Altaf said.
