Yeddyurappa had decided to hold the very first public gathering of the KJP in Haveri on December 10.

However, Shettar and party state chief KS Eshwarappa postponed the assembly session from November 26-December 7 to December 5-13. Meanwhile, the executive committee meeting of the KJP is set to be held in Bangalore on Friday.

Yeddyurappa’s close aide and former union minister V Dhananajaykumar will take over as the interim president of the party during the event.

Yeddyurappa will take charge of the party in Haveri on December 9.
