OVER TWO dozen activists of Jai Shiv Sena Bharat including its national president were arrested here while taking out a Jyoti Kalash Yatra to celebrate Babri Masjid demolition anniversary as ‘Shaurya Diwas’ today.

The activists led by its national president Onkar Nath Tripathi took out a Jyoti Kalash Yatra from Hanuman Mandir Kareli which passed through Kali Mandir, Lavkush Ashram, Shahdi Mandir, Lalita Devi Mandir, Kalyani Devi and finally terminated at Darshwearnath Mandir this morning where Shankarachyra Swami Vasudewanand offered pujan archan.
In his speech he called upon people to realise the dream of Hindu nation without any communal hatred. He said the contribution of those who sacrificed their lives on December 6 incident could not be forgotten at all. However, as the Yatra proceeded towards Jonstonganj, the police arrested Onkar Nath Tripathi, Digambar Tripathi, Babban Singh, Ved Jaiswal, Virju Sonkar, Chand Tara, Malti Devi and two dozen other activists.
Criticising the arrest the national president said it was a violation of religious rights as provided in the Constitution.
Ajay Gupta of Shiv Shakti Sena said December 6 was a day of pride because several Hindus laid their lives for the cause of Hinduism. He lamented that there were some political parties indulging in minority appeasement. He said this would not be tolerated by the Sena.

Social secretary of the hostel Nawab Mahboob said that the RSS and the BJP demolished the mosque to hurt the feeling of secular people in the country.
