The Shiv Sena activists took out a procession on Wednesday to register their protest against intrusions by Chinese troops across the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Led by its state president Ashok Gupta, the protesters gathered outside the press club and burnt the Chinese flag.The activists also rooted for immediate evacuation of land, occupied by the Chinese military forces.

Urging the union government to raise its voice against the Chinese invasion, Gupta said, "Silence can cost our nation dearly. The Centre must protest this."Gupta also claimed that China resorted to violence on the border in order to create upheavals across India.

The Shiv Sena state president reminded that the invasion of Chinese troops into Chumar area in Leh-Ladakh had caused tensions between New Delhi and Beijing in April. The troops also had threatened the locals in Hindi two weeks ago, Gupta alleged.

Recalling the earlier differences with China, Gupta said it had issued stapled visas to the residents of Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh, claiming that they live in a disputed territory."China treats Arunachal Pradesh as a part of its own land. It also made illegal constructions in Gilgit," Gupta said.
