ENERGY MINISTER Shivpal Singh Yadav on Sunday said the Samajwadi Party had ushered in rapid development of the State in the last two and a half years.
He was addressing a meeting after laying the foundation stone of the SP district office at Niyamatabad in Chandauli.

The minister said there was no funds crunch for development work throughout the state. He also claimed the power scenario in UP was better than that in Delhi, Bihar and Uttaranchal.

He added that the State Government, headed by Mulayam Singh Yadav, was fully committed to safeguarding the interests of the common man. Financial assistance and pension would be given to beneficiaries through special camps in presence of office-bearers and MLAs of the party in the State, he said.

He also said the SP would always fight for the cause of the poor and the downtrodden. He said the party would construct its own office in each district.
The minister also laid the foundation stone of a bridge in Baluwa area in Chandauli.

Yadav and Minister of State for Forests Virendra Singh addressed a meeting at Shastri Ghat. Yadav also held a meeting with office- bearers of the SP.
