The last week was absolutely great. It was so packed with creative delight that I didn’t even realise when it passed me by. We shot the climax scene of Housefull over four long days. It was one of the most interesting and unique shots I’ve ever given, therefore difficult and challenging in terms of performance.

We shot in Greenwich where the GMT is situated — the one made popular by our Geography textbooks in school. While there, I ended up bumping into a lot of Indians. They were extremely enthusiastic and inquisitive about what we were shooting for. Answering the queries led to a whole lot of photographs and autographs.

Last weekend I had a rather scary experience. It was bright and sunny, and a friend and I decided to walk around on New Bond Street. We were at a store when we suddenly heard a couple of police cars and ambulances vroom past us. We didn’t pay much attention to the hullabaloo initially. But as we decided to hop across to the next store, it started pouring cats and dogs. So we decided to wait by the entrance of the store. Suddenly, the Indian salesman who had attended to us at the store came up to me and whispered in my ear that there’d been a ‘shootout’ in the parallel lane!

But that jarring thought left me soon as I got to spend with my family members who joined me in London for three days. After the hectic shooting schedule, I was lucky enough to get a three-day off and hence managed to spend some time with them. All we did was walk, shop and eat… a LOT! We tried out different cuisines like Teppanyaki, Chinese, Thai, Italian, Lebanese and even the ever-popular local fish and chips. We also watched the famous musical Oliver! before they left. It was brilliant.

Considering I’ve been away from home for a month now, I had this dire craving to have south Indian food. And to my utter surprise, the minute we stepped out of the theatre, there was not one but three Indian restaurants to choose from! The obvious choice: the “PURE VEG SOUTH INDIAN RESTAURANT”. Considering I couldn’t get enough of it over dinner last night, I’m off to the same place, again!
