Two youths were injured in a gunfight between two rival groups outside a court complex in Bathinda today, police said.
Two youths were injured in a gunfight between two rival groups outside a court complex in Bathinda on Friday, police said.
According to the police, members of Bhatti gang and Prince gang were involved in the clash that also involved exchange of fire.
"Prince, a gangster, was released on bail on Thursday. He and his gang members were attacked by the members of Bhatti gang Friday. There is some old rivalry between the two groups," a police official in Bathinda said.
"Two members of Prince gang, Vikas Kaushal and Rohit, were injured in the clash. Vikas sustained bullet injuries on his arm and face whereas Rohit sustained serious head injuries, inflicted by sharp-edged weapons. The accused fled away in a car," he added.
Police have registered a case and started investigations. They are also examining footage of a CCTV camera installed outside the entrance of the court complex.
