TERMITE ATTACK on the Sharbati variety of wheat in several villages in Sehore and Ichawar blocks of Sehore district has become a matter of grave concern for the farmers. The attack can easily be controlled with medicines but irrigation is always urgently required after applying the anti-termite treatment to crop. (HTC)

Two cops suspended
TWO POLICEMEN have been suspended for failing to bring back an under-trail on time after he had been taken to a court at Ashta from Sehore jail. The duo was found whiling away time in an inebriated condition. Hazari Lal and Mata Prashad were suspended today after medical examination confirmed that they had consumed alcohol. (HTC)
3 jailed in dowry case
NEEMUCH JUDICIAL Magistrate Kamaal Iqbal Khan in a dowry case sentenced three persons to two years’ rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs 500 each. He awarded the punishment on Saturday.
According to prosecution, Jeeran police on a complaint by Sumanbai of Harnavada village, registered a case against her husband Omprakash and her in-laws on August 28, 2004. Sumanbai in her complaint charged that her husband and in-laws harassed her for dowry of Rs 50,000 and also demanded a motorbike. (HTC)

{{/usCountry}}FORMER STATE minister and Congress leader Satyadev Katare allegedly received an anonymous threatening call on his cell phone. He has lodged a complaint with the police.
The anonymous caller threatened him with dire consequences. Govindpura police have registered a case under the section 507 of the IPC and are making efforts to identity and locate the caller. The former minister had reportedly made a complaint to the police headquarters in the past that he had got threatening calls. (HTC)
