and frequent protests in Mumbai by right wing groups against Bollywood films are making the film fraternity contemplate on whether it is time the film industry considered shifting base out of the city, and look at other options such as Delhi.

, says, “I’ve been telling Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit that Delhi should have its own film destination since 80 percent of the industry has north Indians.” When asked what he thinks about Bollywood shifting base to another city, actor Irrfan Khan, says, “It is not a bad thought.”

However, not everybody feels the same way. “Shifting Bollywood to another city is not a solution. That won’t curb the problem, but just subside it temporarily,” says actor Rahul Bose. Neeraj Pandey, director of A Wednesday says, “Why should we run? We should stay and fight for our rights.”
