Mild shower was experienced on Thursday afternoon as well but it did not last long except for a few patches in the City. But today the rains and thundershowers lashed the City for more than an hour in the evening.
High-velocity wind accompanied the rains.

As the tree branches lurched and raindrops flung in the air, several youths took to the road to enjoy the pleasant weather. Office-goers returning home on their two-wheelers, however, preferred to stay put in the offices or under some shelter till the rains stopped. Several localities remained enveloped in the dark for some time as load shedding was effected as soon as the rains and thundershowers gathered momentum.

However, despite rains and pleasant winds in the evening, the maximum temperature on Friday was one degree higher than the previous day. Maximum temperature on Friday was recorded as 40.8 degree as against 39.9 degree on Thursday.

According to the Meteorological Department, spells of light rains and thundershowers are likely for the next 24 hours. Weathermen said that the rains experienced over the past couple of days are pre-monsoon showers and wet weather in western MP is likely to continue for next 24 hours.
