Senior officials of Allied Nippon Limited (ANL) on Monday said the plant would start functioning from the coming week. The top management of the company had temporarily shutdown the unit after a mob of workers attacked the company's administrative block and lynched assistant general manager Yogender Chaudhary on Saturday afternoon.
"We expect the unit to start functioning from coming week. We cannot comment on the losses suffered during the temporary shutdown period. The company would also compensate the victim's family," company's vice-president HR MS Chaudhary told the Hindustan Times.
Chaudhary also said the labourers would be allowed to work once the unit starts functioning. "The workers should start work and no innocent person will be put behind the bars by the police," he said.
However, the official in a press meeting held on Sunday said around 400 workers had launched the attack in a pre-meditated and un-provoked manner.
Also, Chaudhary retracted the statements wherein HR manager Raj Kumar had admitted that he fired 3 to 4 shots from his licensed weapon in air, to disperse the mob and in self-defence outside the company premises. "None of our officials fired from their weapon. The workers fired those shots in the air," Chaudhary said.
Kumar had said that he fired 3-4 shots from his licensed weapon, outside the company's premises, while he and deceased Yogender Chaudhary were running out of gate number 2 to save themselves from the agitated workers.

{{/usCountry}}The workers had earlier said the sound of firing further agitated the mob and led them to believe that the officials have opened fire on them. Later, the agitated workers lynched Yogender Chaudhary, with bricks, rods, brake shoes.
Meanwhile, after Sunday's arrest of eight accused in the lynching case, no further arrests were made on Monday. Police said two company officials were still undergoing treatment at Yashoda Hospital at Kaushambi.
