Fashion has been a passion with Siddartha Tytler ever since this 23-year-old can remember. After completing a course from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, Tytler set out to follow his dreams as a designer.

At a fashion show at The Grand, the designer unveiled his winter collection that was an amalgamation of a magnificent set designed by Martand Khosla and a gothic look created by make up artist Jo Jo and Yatan, where models walked in with smoky eyes and blood red lipstick, complemented with a range of western clothes by Tytler inspired by the Urban Chic.

His clothes were also inspired by the oriental look, (a trend that was a rage on international ramps in spring summer this year and Indian designers harped on it at the LIFW) with Chinese motifs dominating jacquard weaves which were used to construct jackets and blouses. Bags with Feng shui charms, avers Tytler, complete the look.

The military look was seen on the ramp, too, with camouflage prints and the military green and browns dominating the range. Tytler took this inspiration a step further and created saris using the camouflage print embellished with sequins. Although one wonders if there would be many takers for this look.

Also spotted at the show: Gautam Punj, Kiran Chaudhary with daughter Mishika, Sanjeev Bijli, Anil Nanda and Umesh Saraf, besides, of course, Jagdish and Jennifer Tytler.
