DSGMC leaders Harvinder Singh and Paramjit Singh Sarna made this demand before Union Minister Arjun Singh at a religious congregation and recalled the role played by him in the signing of the Rajiv-Longowal accord of 1985.

In their memorandum to the minister, they requested release of Sikhs jailed under TADA during the unrest in Punjab and the annulment of the Sikh entries from the blacklist.

Also, they demanded that the blacklisted Sikhs be allowed to travel to their birth places in India.
